Nancy Gabrielson Obituary

Harrisville - Nancy E. (Latimer) Gabrielson, 86, was called home by her Lord and Saviour on Monday, February 26, 2024 in Landmark Medical Center. She was the wife of the late Arnold Gabrielson.

Nancy was born in Attleboro, MA, daughter of the late Charles and Margaret (Collins) Latimer.

She worked as a Bookkeeper for Boca Grove Country Club in Florida for 15 years, and moved to Rhode Island in 1998. She was a very active member of the New Hope Baptist Church and very strong in her faith. She was a former member of the Red Hatters and the Lincoln Garden Club. She enjoyed gardening, traveling, and spending time with friends and family, especially her grandchildren.

Nancy was blessed with 2 sets of twins born 18 months a part. She is survived by three of her children, Missionary Scott Brackett and his wife Laurie of Buenos Aires, Argentina, Donna Rae Follett and her husband Gary of Oakland, RI, and Deborah Parks and her husband Michael of Deland, Florida her sister, Margaret DeRouin of Clinton, MA, Thirteen grandchildren, and fifteen great-grandchildren. 

She was also mother of the late Linda Reilly, grandmother to the late Robbie Bell and Daniel Brackett, and sister of the late Charles Latimer and Dorothy Pond.

A Celebration of Nancy’s Life will be held on Saturday, March 16, 2024 from 1- 2:30 PM in the New Hope Baptist Church 65 South Main St. Pascoag, RI 02859 with the Pastor George Warren officiating along with Nancy’s son, Missionary Scott Brackett. Refreshments will be offered after the Service.

The S. DiPardo Memorial Chapel Funeral Home 1583 Diamond Hill Rd. Woonsocket, RI 02895 is in charge of the arrangements.
