Normand Parenteau Obituary

Bellingham - Normand R. Parenteau 84, passed away peacefully on Monday, September 5, 2022 in the Friendly Home. He was the beloved husband of Claire J. (Lussier) Parenteau. They would have celebrated 63 years together on September 19, 2022.

Born in Woonsocket, son of the late Rene an Jeanne (Marcotte) Parenteau.

He was an 8 year Veteran of the Army National Guard.

Norm was in the Shoe Business his entire life working for, Milford Shoes, Webster Shoes, and Reebok as a Pattern Maker, prior to his retirement. He enjoyed taking meticulous care of his yard and watching the Red Sox and the NE Patriots on TV. He was also part of the Melodaires Band and played the saxophone and the clarinet. More recently, he loved receiving pictures and videos everyday of his great-great nephew, Emmett Carter, which would put a big smile on his face.

Besides his wife Claire, he is survived by his godson, Marc Lussier and his wife Charlene of Uxbridge, MA. One brother, Richard Parenteau and his wife Vivian of VA and one sister, Lorraine Hebert of Blackstone, MA. And several nieces and nephews.

He was also the brother to the late Donald Parenteau.

His Funeral will be held on Friday, September 9, 2022 at 10AM from the S. DiPardo Memorial Chapel Funeral Home 1583 Diamond Hill Rd Woonsocket, RI 02895 with Mass of Christian Burial at 11AM in St. Joseph Church 1200 Mendon Rd., Woonsocket. Burial will be in Resurrection Cemetery Wrentham Rd., Cumberland. Relatives and friends are invited; calling hour is from 9-10AM prior to the funeral.
