Woonsocket - Pauline A. (Garand) Dufresne, 81, passed away peacefully on Friday, December 26, 2025 in Landmark Medical Center with her family by her side. She was the wife of the late Bernard L. Dufresne Sr.
Born in Woonsocket, daughter of the late Rene and Gertrude (Renaud) Garand.
Pauline worked in Quality Control for Texas Instruments for several years and also as a Stocker for CVS Warehouse prior to retiring. She enjoyed her family coffee club, she loved doing puzzles, and being the family taxi driver. Pauline loved her family dearly. She was also a dog lover.
She is survived by her four children, Michelle Varieur and her husband Andre of Woonsocket, Paula Provoyeur and her husband Matthew of Cumberland, Lisa Paquette and her husband John of Woonsocket, and Bernard Dufresne Jr. of Woonsocket. Her twin sister, Lucille Richard and one brother, Donald Garand both of Woonsocket. Six grandchildren, Derek, Joshua, Jake, Katie, Nathan, and Samantha. Four great-grandchildren, Bella, Andrew, Greyson, and Elijah. Her life long friend, Joyce Caldarone. And her canine companion, Jack
Relatives and friends are invited for visitation from 5-7 PM on Thursday, January 8, 2026 in the S. DiPardo Memorial Chapel Funeral Home 1583 Diamond Hill Rd, Woonsocket, RI 02895. A Committal Service will be in St. Jean the Baptist Cemetery Wrentham Rd Bellingham, MA 02019 on Friday, January 9, 2026 at 10 AM.
