Rafael Diaz Jr.

Woonsocket — Rafael Diaz Jr., 32, passed away peacefully on Thursday, April 17, 2025 in Rhode Island Hospital with his loving family by his side. 

Born in Woonsocket, son of Rafael Diaz Sr. and Sandra Ivett (Roman) Diaz.

Rafael worked in Housekeeping for Butler Hospital.

He enjoyed gospel and christian music, dancing, being funny and making people laugh, cooking, spending time with family especially his beloved mom. He also enjoyed his nieces and nephews and would always remember them on special occasions which gave him joy. He was a warm hearted caring person who put others before himself.

Besides his parents he is survived by his two brothers, Juan Diaz of Central Falls, Anthony Diaz of Pawtucket. Two sisters, Sandra Marie Diaz of Pawtucket and Yamilex Diaz Burgos of Pawtucket. Ten nieces and nephews, several cousins, aunts, and uncles.

A Funeral Home Service will be held on Wednesday, April 23, 2025 at 11 AM in the S. DiPardo Memorial Chapel Funeral Home 1583 Diamond Hill Rd. Woonsocket, RI. Burial will be in Union Cemetery North Smithfield.  Relatives and friends are invited calling hours are on Tuesday, April 22, 2025 from 4-6 PM.
