Obituary

Bellingham — Raymond J. Hamelin, Jr., 65, passed away peacefully Thursday, February 10, 2022, in UMass Medical Center Worcester, MA  with his family by his side.

Born in North Kingstown, RI, son of the late Raymond J. Hamelin and Gloria M. (Rawlinson) Jenckes and stepfather Arthur Jenckes of Bellingham, MA.

Ray worked as a truck driver for Ryder Truck Co. for several years prior to retiring.

He was a Veteran of the United States Army.

He enjoyed riding his motorcycle, spending time with family and friends, football, camping and fishing. He was an avid New England Patriot fan. Ray was very considerate of others and was always there to lend a helping hand when needed.

Besides his wife Doreen he is survived by three sons: Raymond Hamelin of Florida, Eric Hamelin of Uxbridge, MA, and Alex Hamelin of Bellingham, MA; two sisters: Linda Healy and her husband Michael of Bellingham, MA, Marlene Lavallee of Bellingham, MA; two brothers, Thomas Hamelin of Bellingham, MA, and Timothy Hamelin of Uxbridge, MA; and two grandchildren, Eric Hamelin and Elijah O’Donnell; and many nieces and nephews.

He was also the stepfather of the late Jimmy Rais.

A Funeral Home Service will be held on Thursday, February 24, 2022 at 6 PM in the S. DiPardo Memorial Chapel Funeral Home 1583 Diamond Hill Rd. Woonsocket, RI 02895. Relatives and friends are invited to attend. Calling hours are from 4-6 PM. Interment will be in the Massachusetts National Cemetery in Bourne, MA on Friday, February 25, 2022.
