Cumberland - Richard C. Dumas, 76, passed away peacefully on Sunday, November 24, 2024 in the Rhode Island Veterans Home in Bristol, RI. He was the husband of Latricia (Pfannenstiel) Dumas of Cumberland.
Born in Woonsocket, son of the late Wilfred and Jeannette (Moison) Dumas.
He was a United States Army Veteran serving in Vietnam.
Richard worked as Foreman for General Motors for several years prior to retiring. He is a former member of the Cercle Laurier and St. Josephs Veterans Club. He enjoyed watching TV and playing cards.
Besides his wife Latricia, he is survived by his son Bryan Dumas and his wife Alessandra of Lincoln, RI. Three sisters, Marie Houle of Florida, Georgette Auger of Cumberland, and Elaine Duhamel and her husband Jerry of Florida. And one grandson, Gavin Dumas of Lincoln.
He was also the brother of the late Jimmy Dumas, John Dumas, Pearl Garneau, Marion Aubin, and Doris Durand.
A Funeral Home Service will be held on Saturday, December 7, 2024 at 10 AM in the S. DiPardo Memorial Chapel Funeral Home 1583 Diamond Hill Rd.Woonsocket, RI 02895. Burial with Military Honors will be in Resurrection Cemetery, West Wrentham Rd. Cumberland, RI. Relatives and friends are invited; Calling hours will be on Friday, Dec. 6, 2024 from 5-7PM.
