Bellingham — Richard E. Gagne 68, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, November 17, 2021 at home with his loving family by his side. He was the husband of Marie A. (Remillard) Gagne of Bellingham.
Born in Woonsocket, son of the late Ernest and Helen (Corbishley) Gagne.
Richard worked as a Salesman for Sosmetal for 40 years prior to retiring. He enjoyed camping, traveling, spending winters in Florida, and his gun hobby. He also enjoyed spending time with family and friends.
Richard was involved with the Boy Scouts, being and Eagle Scout he was able to help others obtained this very special recognition. He was Past Master of the Masons for the Thomas Smith Webb Masonic Lodge and was also Past Exalted Ruler of the Elks Lodge 850. He was also a member of the Garlic Connection and Past President of Rhody Rovers Camping Club. He was one of the original founders of Coats for Kids.
Besides his wife Marie, he is survived by three children and one loving Stepdaughter Erin. One sister, Jeannie Allard and her husband Charlie of North Smithfield, RI. Seven grandchildren and two great granddaughters.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Monday, November 29, 2021 from 6-9 PM in the Elks Lodge BPOE 850 380 Social St. Woonsocket, RI 02895.
