Woonsocket — Richard J. Gill 82, passed away peacefully in the Woonsocket Health & Rehabilitation Center on Saturday, September 11, 2021.

Born in Woonsocket, son of the late William and Cecilia (Lamonthe) Gill.

Richard worked as a Maintenance man for Head Start for several years. He was a United States Navy Veteran serving on the USS Forrestal. Richard obtained an Arborist Certificate from URI.

He enjoyed going hunting ,fishing, and spending time with family and friends.

He is survived by two sisters, Dorothy Parenteau and her husband Roger of Woonsocket and Patricia Blais from Woonsocket. Several nieces, nephews, and cousins.

He was also the brother of the late Roger, Normand, and Robert Gill.

A Memorial Service will be held on Thursday, September 23, 2021 at 10 AM in St. Joseph Church 1200. Mendon Rd. Woonsocket, RI. Burial will be in Resurrection Cemetery Wrentham Rd. Cumberland, RI.
