Woonsocket — Richard A. Malenfant Jr. 41, passed away unexpectedly on Friday, March 25, 2022.
Born in Woonsocket, son of Kamolsawasd (Amm) (Naiyanetr) St. Onge of Woonsocket and Richard A. Malenfant Sr. of Texas.
Richard worked as a welder for Precision Energy Systems Inc. for several years. He enjoyed music, heavy metal concerts, playing the guitar, playing video games, cooking, eating Thai food, expressive writing, and poems. Richard was always a happy person and loved his children dearly.
Besides his parents, he is survived by his two children, Avery E. and Jack R. Malenfant both of FL. One sister, Kyla Sullivan of Newton, MA. His fathers partner, Bernadine Malenfant of TX. Two half brothers, Marley and Samuel Malenfant both of TX. His mother's partner, Michael Delucia. One stepsister, Jenna Delucia of Cumberland. One stepbrother, Anthony Delucia of Medway, MA. Nieces and nephews, Madison Sullivan, Meadow and Joshua Robinson,and Noah and Vivian Delucia. Maternal grandmother, Saowapha St. Onge of Woonsocket. Paternal grandmother, Carol Malenfant of Lincoln,Stepfathers, Scott Caldwell of RI.
Relatives and friends are invited; Visitation is from 4-5:30 PM. A Celebration of Richards Life will be held at 5:30PM and a Buddhist Ceremony at 6PM on Saturday, April 16, 2022 in the S. DiPardo Memorial Chapel Funeral Home 1583 Diamond Hill Rd. Woonsocket, RI 02895. Burial will be private.
