Robert Bergeron Obituary

Woonsocket - Robert L. Bergeron, 90, passed away peacefully on Monday, December 30, 2024 in Landmark Medical Center. He was the husband of the late Jeannine (Leduc) Bergeron. 

Born in Woonsocket, son of the late Gaston and Laura (Morel) Bergeron.

He was a Veteran of the United States Navy. 

Robert worked in the Service Department for Amica Insurance. He was a member of the Elks 850, the VFW in Bellingham, American Legion Post 85 Fairmont Post, and a former member of Walnut Hill Bowl. He loved to travel, enjoyed going camping, and enjoyed bowling. He also enjoyed his yearly trips to the Laquinta Beach Club in Aruba. 

He is survived by his daughter, Suzanne Bessette and her husband Dennis of Woonsocket. Two sisters, Theresa Sills of Woonsocket and Elaine Moulson of Somerset, MA. Two grandchildren, Aaron Bergeron and Naomi Ubri-Lara. Seven great grandchildren, Syler, Ilianna, Gian, Jaylynn, Courtney, Alishia, Jaden. And two great-great grandchildren, Noah and Amelia. 

He was also the brother of the late Gerald Bergeron. 

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday, January 10, 2025 at 10AM in St. Agathas Church 34 Joffre Ave Woonsocket, RI 02895. Burial with Military Honors to follow will be in Resurrection Cemetery, West Wrentham Rd Cumberland. RI. Relatives and friends are invited. Calling hours will be held on Thursday, January 9, 2024 from 5-7 PM in the S. DiPardo Memorial Chapel Funeral Home 1583 Diamond Hill Rd. Woonsocket RI 02895.
