Woonsocket - Robert J. Burns, 72, passed away at home on Sunday, May 28, 2023. 

Born in Providence, son of the late Alfred J. Burns Sr. and Margaret Mary (Hayes) Burns. 

Robert worked as a Supervisor for JG Associates for several years prior to retiring. 

He enjoyed watching NASCAR, occasional trips to the casino, spending time with family and friends, and enjoyed helping everyone.  

He is survived by one son, Eric Gauthier of Woonsocket. One brother, Alfred J. Burns Jr. of Burrillville. Two grandchildren, Braydon Gauthier and Brianna Ryan. 

He was also the brother-in-law of the late Louise Burns. 

A Funeral Home Service will be held on Sunday, June 4, 2023 at 4:30 PM in the S. DiPardo Memorial Chapel Funeral Home 1583 Diamond Hill Rd Woonsocket, RI 02895. Relatives and friends are invited; calling hours are from 3-4:30 PM. Burial will be on Monday, June 5, 2023 at 11:30 AM in St. Ann’s Cemetery, Cranston, RI.
