Robert T. Terry

Providence — Robert T. Terry,  passed away peacefully on Sunday, June 21, 2026 in Kent County Hospital with his loving family by his side. He was the husband of the late Carolyn (Johnson) Terry. 

Born in Pittsburg, PA., he was the son of the late Rev. James Alexander and Thelma (Bailey) Terry. 

Robert worked as a Crane Operator for the Blawknox Co. in Pennsylvania for several years. He loved his job, working, shooting pool, eating, and he especially enjoyed his quiet down time. He also enjoyed spending time with his family and friends.

He is survived by his four children, Robert J. Terry and his wife Evelyn of Woonsocket, Tony Terry of Providence, Harold Terry of Providence, and Marcia Woodruff of No. Providence. And his seven siblings, Janet Green of Pittsburg, PA., Rev. Dr. William Terry of Mechanicsburg, PA., JoAnn Coles of AZ, Jonathan Terry of VA, Irene Mills of PA, Alice Irwin of IL, and Marcella Terry of GA. Eight grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. 

He was pre-deceased by his sisters, Lynne Daniels and Donna Meigs and his brothers, Thomas Terry and James Terry III. 

A Funeral Home Service will be held on Monday, July 20, 2026 at 11:30 AM in the S. DiPardo Memorial Chapel Funeral Home 1583 Diamond Hill Road Woonsocket, RI 02895. Relatives and friends are invited: Visitation will be from 9:30-11:30 AM prior to the Service. Burial to follow in Union Cemetery N. Smithfield, RI. 02896.
