Roland Payeur Obituary

North Smithfield- Roland P. Payeur 84, passed away peacefully on Thursday April 4th at home with his loving family and friends by his side. He was the loving husband of Theresa R. (Dubois) Payeur for 61 years.

Born in Woonsocket, son of the late John and Blanche (Langlais) Payeur.

He enjoyed bowling in leagues with his wife and friends. He enjoyed camping trips with his children and after retiring camping at Circle C Campground in CT with his wife and friends.
His favorite fishing spot was Worden Pond in No. Kingston for many years. He enjoyed playing cards with family and friends. 
He enjoyed many years of camping and fishing with his wife and children at East Matunuck.

He taught himself how to paint and his family now enjoys his beautiful paintings.

He was a Eucharistic Minister at Holy Family Church. 
He was very involved with his sons Boy Scout activities
He was a volunteer along with his wife for the food pantry in No Smithfield and delivery of meals to the elderly for 5 years.
After retiring he and Theresa spent 4 years living in FL and 6 wonderful years in Charleston, SC before moving back to RI.

Besides his wife Theresa, he is survived by his two sons Paul Payeur and his wife Paula of Woonsocket and James Payeur of No. Smithfield, he was also the father of the late Michael Payeur and Michael's surviving wife Julieann. Also leaves an adopted daughter Patricia and husband Bill of No. Smithfield.
He was blessed with thirteen grandchildren and 19 Great grandchildren. He was a wonderful husband and father and will be greatly missed.
Two brothers George Payeur and Gerard Payeur both of Woonsocket and the brother of the late Rosalie Gregoire.

He was a Foreman for the Woonsocket Transfer Station and then the owner/operator of T&R Diner in Cumberland RI for several years before retiring.
