Rolande N. (Morin) Langlois, 90, of North Smithfield, left this world unexpectedly at home on Wednesday, October 22, 2025, surrounded by love.
Born in Grand Isle, Maine, she was the daughter of the late Albert and Edna (Chasse) Morin, and carried the strong values of her upbringing throughout her life. Those early roots shaped the woman she became—loving and resilient with a tireless work ethic.
Rolande was the beloved wife of Rejean Langlois, with whom she shared 55 years of marriage—a lasting testament of love and devotion. Together, they built a life centered on family and faith. Rolande was the pillar of unconditional love—a woman whose warmth and compassion created a home that welcomed everyone. She fostered a strong sense of family values and was often the heart of every gathering.
Rolande worked for many years as a laborer in several local textile mills and later for Seveco Knitting before retiring. She enjoyed playing cards—especially Solitaire, Rummy, and Queens—and keeping current on the lives of her grandchildren. Above all, she found her greatest joy in loving them.
Along with her husband, Rejean, she is survived by her four children: Robert Ross; Charles Ross and his wife, Jessie, Tracy Taylor and her husband, Steven; and Tammy Langlois. She also leaves behind her siblings: Robertine, Lionel, Normand, and Jacqueline.
She was predeceased by her siblings Jeanine, Milford, Adrian, Raymond, Reginald, Roland, Muriel, Romeo, Conrad, and Ronald.
To her ten grandchildren: Jessica, Elizabeth, Samantha, Ariel, Renee, Morgan, Amanda, Daniel, Chelsea, Brandon and five great-grandchildren: Matthew, Gloria, Lincoln, Indiana, and Caspar, Rolande was pure magic—the kind that extended beyond her embrace.
She was a gifted storyteller, known for the fables she shared with her grandchildren throughout their childhood—stories that sparked their imaginations, offered gentle lessons, and continue to live in their hearts today.
“I love you. I’m always here for you, you know? Even if I’m gone, you only have to talk to me.”
