Rose M. Chagnon

Woonsocket — Rose M. Chagnon, 95, passed away peacefully on Friday, April 5, 2024 at home with her loving family by her side.  She was the wife of the late Robert G. Chagnon Sr.

Born in Woonsocket, daughter of the late Ludger and Rose (Baril) Jalette.

Rose worked as a Dietitian for the former Fogarty Hospital for 26 years prior to retiring. 

Rose obtained a Bachelor Degree from Salve Regina College. 

She enjoyed spending time with family and friends, cooking, reading, adult coloring, and gardening. 

She is survived by her three children, Rose Tuttle and her husband David of Woonsocket, Diane Scott and her husband Donald of Warwick, and Marc Chagnon and his wife Stacy of Warwick. And her daughter-in-law Mary Chagnon of North Attleboro, MA. Eight grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.

She was also the mother of the late Robert G. Chagnon Jr. and sister to the late Raymond Jalette. 

He funeral will be held on Thursday, April 11, 2024 at 9AM from the S. DiPardo Memorial Chapel Funeral Home 1583 Diamond Hill Rd. Woonsocket, RI 02895 with a Mass of Christian Burial 10 AM in St. Joseph Church 1200 Mendon Rd. Woonsocket, RI 02895. Burial will be in Resurrection Cemetery West Wrentham Rd., Cumberland RI 02864. Relatives and friends are invited; calling hours are on Wednesday, April 10, 2024 from 5-7 PM. 

In lieu of flowers donations to St. Joseph Church and the Woonsocket Rescue Department would be appreciated.
