Sherry A. Laferriere

Woonsocket - Sherry A. (Poulin) Laferriere, 76 passed away peacefully Saturday, June 19, 2021 in St. Vincent Hospital Worcester, MA with her family by her side. She was the beloved wife of George L. Laferriere of Woonsocket, RI.

Sherry was born in Providence, and daughter of the late Robert and Claire (Creighton) Poulin.

She worked for Amica as a clerk typist and for Big D as a baker in the baking department also for Theroux Brothers as a shipping clerk. Her most prestigious position was as a full time mother raising and caring for her family.

Sherry enjoyed spending time with her family and friends whom she cared for deeply, taking quilting trips, quilting, and going to the beach. She had an infectious laugh and loved spreading it.

Besides her husband George, she is survived by her three children, Stephen Laferriere and his wife Janine of Uxbridge, MA. Kevin Laferriere of Woonsocket, and Lisa Stratman and her husband Joshua of North Smithfield, RI. Two grandchildren, Joshua Laferriere and Kristyn Christie and her husband Ryan. She is also survived by her loving canine companions Chloe and Abbie.

She was also the sister of the late Joyce Burgess.

A Funeral Home Service will be held on Friday, June 25, 2021 at 11 AM in the S. DiPardo Memorial Chapel Funeral Home 1583 Diamond Hill Rd. Woonsocket, RI 02895. Relatives and friends are invited; visitation is from 10 to 11 AM prior to the service. Burial will be private.
