Stephen A. Larochelle

Cumberland - Stephen Albert Larochelle, 53, of Cumberland, RI, passed away Friday, October 6, 2023, at Newport Hospital, Newport RI with his loving family by his side.

Born in Woonsocket son of Michele (Guy) Larochelle of Cumberland, RI and Albert Larochelle and his wife Carolyn of Austin, Texas.

Stephen earned an Associates Degree in Culinary Arts, a Bachelor of Science  degree in Accounting and a Masters Degree in Accounting from Johnson & Wales University. Following his education he pursued a career in accounting with Johnson and Wales University.

Stephen was a kind, loving, outgoing and positive person, bringing joy to all who knew him. His easy smile lit up a room. His courage and dignity were clear as he battled with Multiple Sclerosis over many years.

Stephen enjoyed spending time with family and friends, rooting for New England sports teams, cooking, skiing, and traveling. 
 
Besides his parents, Stephen is also survived by many beloved family members. One daughter, Emma Rose Larochelle of Cumberland, RI. One sister, Monique Larochelle and her partner, Ken Davis of Pascoag RI, and their family members. Five half siblings, his two aunts Louise Guy and her family and Jill Guy and her family members.

Stephen is predeceased by his grandparents Amedee and Lucille Guy and Eugene and Theresa Larochelle, niece Krystal Larochelle, and uncle George Guy.

A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, October 14, 2023 at 4:30 PM in the S. DiPardo Memorial Chapel Funeral Home 1583 Diamond Hill Rd. Woonsocket, RI 02895. Relatives and friends are invited; calling hours are from 3-4:30 PM. Burial will be private.
