Susan J. Messier

Woonsocket - Susan J. (Dusablon) Messier, 82, passed away peacefully on Sunday, February 15, 2026 in Rhode Island Hospital with her family by her side. She was the wife of the late Robert H. Messier. Sue and Bob were high school sweethearts who shared over 60 beautiful years together.

Born in Woonsocket, daughter of the late Ovila and Simonne (Masse) Dusablon.

Sue and her late husband were Owner Operators of the former Party House. She dedicated 20 years of service as a cashier at Almacs followed by nearly two decades at Shaw’s as a cashier before retiring.

Sue cherished her family and loved being a Mom and Grandmother. She enjoyed bowling, word search puzzles, cooking, had a passion for jewelry and cuisine, and cherished her time with her feline companion, Suzy-Q.

She is survived by her four children, Linda Mandeville and her husband Charles of Woonsocket, Michael Messier of Woonsocket, Lisa Provencal and her husband Michael of Cumberland, and Lori Perrico and her husband Wayne of Woonsocket. Her four grandchildren, whom she adored, Andra, Kaylie, Julia, and Shane.

Her funeral will be held on Monday, March 2, 2026 at 9AM from the S. DiPardo Memorial Chapel Funeral Home 1583 Diamond Hill Rd Woonsocket, RI 02895 with a Mass of Christian burial at 10AM in Precious Blood Church 94 Carrington Ave, Woonsocket, RI 02895. Burial will be private. Relatives and friends are invited; calling hours are on Sunday, March 1, 2026 from 4-7 PM.
