Theresa L. Bates

Woonsocket - Theresa L. Bates, 83, passed away peacefully on Friday, February 9, 2024 at home with her family by her side. She was the wife of Martin Bates of Woonsocket. 

Born in Fall River, MA., daughter of the late Mary Dias and Raymond Therrien Sr. 

Theresa worked for Rosecraft for several years. She was a Bus Monitor and she also worked for the Woonsocket School Department as a Lunch lady. 

She enjoyed playing BINGO, cards, watching games shows, knitting, and she was an avid animal lover. 

Besides Martin, she is survived by one brother, Raymond Therrien Jr. and his wife Suzanne of Woonsocket. Her niece and caretaker, Randi Bates of Woonsocket and God Daughter and caretaker, Angelina Dias of Woonsocket. And several nieces and nephews and great nieces and great nephews. 

She was also the sister of the late, Dolores Bates and Laura Smith. And step daughter of George Roude. 

A Funeral Home Service will be held on Saturday, February 17, 2024 at 4:30 PM in the S. DiPardo Memorial Chapel Funeral Home 1583 Diamond Hill Rd., Woonsocket, RI 02895. Visitation is from 
3-4:30 prior to the Service.
