Tiandra Swan Obituary

Woonsocket - Tiandra V. Swan, 40, passed away peacefully on Saturday, February 10, 2024, in the HopeHealth  Hospice Center in Providence with her family by her side. 

Born in Woonsocket, daughter of Machelle (Swan) McAlpine and the late Troy Thomas Charette of Woonsocket. She was also loved and cared for by her stepfather Joseph McAlpine.

Tiandra worked in Home Care for Home Instead in Connecticut for several years before she became ill. She enjoyed cooking, spending time with family, listening to music, playing games, hugging, taking pictures and selfies, watching movies, and enjoyed taking care of others. She was a very loving person and a very high-spirited individual who loved a challenge. 

Besides her parents, her legacy will be carried out by her children Janiah Swan, Ole Curet, James Swan, and Kaydre’al Swan, all of Woonsocket. Three sisters, Shyniece Swan of Providence, Khadijah Swan of Woonsocket, and Quanasia McAlpine of Providence. Two brothers, Aaron Swan and Troy Charrette both of Woonsocket. She has one godchild Jay’Nitra Pearson. Several nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins, step-brothers, and sisters whom she adored as well. 

Tiandra was preceded in death by her son, Teflon Curet. 

A Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, February 17, 2024, at 10 AM -12 PM in the Vida Church 120 Prospect St., Woonsocket, RI 02895. Relatives and friends are invited; calling hours are from 10-11:30 AM before the service.
