Wayne S. (Turner) Lindsey

Woonsocket - Wayne S. (Turner) Lindsey, 55, passed away unexpectedly on Monday, June 12, 2023 at home.

Born in Newport, RI., son of the late Wayne Johnson and Ruth Turner.

Wayne worked as a landscaper for Ed Silva Landscaping and several other landscaping companies in the area. 

He was a member of St. James Baptist Church.

Wayne enjoyed eating, playing video games, Star Wars, gardening, listening to music, cook outs, and spending time with family and friends. He was also an avid sports fan especially of the New England Patriots and the Lakers. 

He is survived by his children, Jonathan Andrews and his wife Wendy of W. Warwick, Daniel Neer and his wife Ann of CA. Arianna Lindsey of  W. Warwick, Quincey Boucher of Providence, and Anthony Neer of NY. His siblings, Anthony Evans of Providence. Andrea Johnston of  W.Warwick, Katie Johnson of Warwick, Arlette Johnson of Newport, Chivon Hunter and her husband Rob of FL, and Wayne Johnson Jr. of Warwick. Seven grandchildren, Donovan, Demetrius, Anthony, Nathaniel, Jamine, Wren and Peyton.

He was predeceased by his adopted parents, Jessie and Zeddie Lindsey and adopted sister Gwendolyn Durden. 

His Funeral Service will be held on Friday, June 23, 2023 at 12 PM in St. James Baptist Church 340 South Main St. Woonsocket, RI  02895. Relatives and friends are invited; visitation is from 11 AM to 12 PM one hour prior to the service in the St. James Baptist Church. Burial will be private.
